Kim Saeron’s family will hold a press conference today (7th).
On the 6th, the YouTube channel ‘Research Institute (hereinafter ‘Research Institute’)’ announced: ‘A press conference exposing the ‘Kim Soo Hyun major crime’ (김수현 중법죄) will be held at 2 p.m. on the 7th (Korean time).’ 
It was further explained: ‘The press conference will be co-hosted by Kim Se-yi, the representative of the Research Institute, and lawyer Bu Ji-seok of the law firm ‘Fuyu.’ Lawyer Bu Ji-seok is the legal representative of the late Kim Saeron’s family. The location of the press conference was also disclosed. They also stated: ‘If identity cannot be confirmed, entry will not be allowed. The reason is that as soon as you see the content of our press conference, you will understand that this incident is very serious.’
Prior to this, Kim Saeron’s family claimed in March of this year that actor Kim Soo Hyun had been in a relationship with her for six years, from November 19, 2015, to July 7, 2021, during Kim Saeron’s minority. They pointed out that after she left her agency, Kim Soo Hyun’s ‘Gold Medalist’ company sent her a debt collection letter demanding repayment of 700 million Korean won, causing her psychological stress. They have been demanding a sincere apology from Kim Soo Hyun.
On March 27, the family held a press conference, revealing the KakaoTalk conversations between Kim Saeron and Kim Soo Hyun during her minority, and pointed out that after the two broke up, Kim Soo Hyun put pressure on her to repay 700 million, causing her mental and physical pain, and presented relevant evidence.
Subsequently, Kim Soo Hyun also held a press conference in March, stating that he had been in a relationship with Kim Saeron after she reached adulthood, around 2019, for about a year. He emphasized that he did not date her during her minority. Regarding the reconstructed version of the KakaoTalk conversations made public by Kim Saeron’s family, he questioned that the content had been tampered with and released an appraisal report.
In addition, Kim Soo Hyun has filed a criminal defamation suit against the late Kim Saeron’s family and the Research Institute, seeking approximately 12 billion in damages.
