A perfect blend of horror and tragedy, ‘Night of Memory’ is a Korean suspense film that will keep you on the edge of your seat with its twists and thrills.
The story follows the protagonist’s journey to recover his memories of his brother.
But beneath the warm brotherly bond lies countless hidden dangers and unfathomable mysteries.
The beginning of the story sees Jin-sik, his brother, and their parents moving into a new house.
Just like in all horror movies, this house has a room that must never be opened.
Jin-sik, the older brother, was always considered the golden child—smart, handsome, and athletic. However, after an accident, he starts to limp, losing his once flawless gait.
On the other hand, his younger brother, Jin-sik, struggles academically and often appears mentally absent. He relies on medication to cope with his weakness, and at 21, he has yet to be accepted into a university. Despite his familiarity and fondness for the house, the younger brother always feels a sense of unease, especially around the strange and talkative moving man.
Mysterious sounds in the house and the locked dark room continue to pique the younger brother’s curiosity. When his brother is suddenly kidnapped by strangers, the younger brother contacts the police. However, upon arrival, the kidnappers never make a call. The police grow increasingly frustrated and eventually lose interest in the case.
A few days later, a miraculous event occurs—his brother returns unharmed. But how was he kidnapped and then released? His brother claims to have amnesia. Since his return, his brother begins to exhibit strange behaviors. Previously favoring his left foot, he now favors his right.
